Nothing says summer like spending a Saturday morning picking out farm-fresh produce. Lakewood is a great place to find farmers markets with products from top-quality California farms. The Lakewood Center Farmers Market is a great option close by at Lakewood Center Mall.

Summer Concerts

Concerts are back! This summer in Lakewood, there are a variety of concerts happening. The City of Lakewood will be continuing its traditional summer concert series Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. from mid-June to August. To kick it off in June, there will be two drive-in concerts at Lakewood Center. Check out this year’s schedule for the other six concerts that will be held, with a variety of music ranging from classic rock to Motown. Not only does the city put on fun, family-friendly concerts, but there are tons of concerts scheduled at other venues in Southern California.

Watch Fireworks

This Fourth of July, there are plenty of places to see fireworks near Lakewood all weekend long. On Friday, July 2, the city of Lakewood is sponsoring a Fireworks Extravaganza at three locations: Holmes Elementary School, Lakewood High School, and Artesia High School.

On the Fourth of July, there will be larger firework shows going on in the Los Angeles area, including the Rose Bowl, Mina Del Rey, Hollywood Bowl, and Long Beach fireworks. So, whether you prefer a smaller show with your community or a larger firework event, there is something for you!
